I am passionate about creating beautiful web applications and experiences that improve how a company works. I focus my efforts on Adobe ColdFusion because I think it's a magnificent development platform, although I believe in using all of the development tools at my disposal.
I want to utilize my skill, talent, and expertise for building custom web applications with a focus on user experience, monetization, fluid and responsive design, mobile accessibility, and search engine optimization. I enjoy working with a team of creative minds to build cutting-edge web applications. I want to innovate and add value to the company for which I am employed with my skills and experience.
When I'm asked what I want out of where I work, I tell people that I look for four things:
I've been building web applications for more than 24 years, and every day I learn something new. I want to continue to develop my expertise and hone my craft to build even better experiences moving forward.
Once I have an understanding of what the goals are and the objectives that need to be achieved, I appreciate the opportunity to be self-directed; to dive into a project and be able to immerse myself to be focused on getting the job done.
There's no better feeling than creating a tool, or an application and delivering it to my client and knowing that it's going to make their job easier. I appreciate feeling like what I do matters, and seeing the contribution I am making to the company.
I am an experienced manager, and I know how to work well with other people. I want there to be a clear indication of who the leadership is expected to be and the direction projects need to take.
I've always been a firm believer that in order to receive the most productivity from your employees, you should pay them well enough so that the issue of money is off the table. If I'm not worried about my expenses, I can focus on the tasks at hand, and my salary expectations reflect just that.
Take 10 minutes and watch this video. It clearly defines what motivates me as a developer.
